My thoughts

My first thought is I really don't know, except that I am glad to be here.  I have been thinking about doing this for awhile, but just never got around to it.  Your children are a wonderful jewel in your life and should be enjoyed all the time, even those times you want to scream from frustration.

If your student is struggling with the concepts at school, you might want to think about a tutor, even if you are homeschooling.  Having someone that can approach the concepts from a different point of view just might help.  Remember sometimes our kids (I have 5) just want us to to mom / dad, and that is our first and most important job.

Vision

I don't know about other people but I am finding as a teacher and parents that in the rush to keep up with technology  our students are losing out - not only in truly understanding the concepts, but also in the fun of school.

The world seems to be more concerned about getting the right answer than truly understanding the concept.

With that in mind this blog is aimed at addressing those concepts and then creating ideas on how we can make the concepts more relatable.

This blog will have two parts to it.

Part one: The first part will be my thoughts about an educational issues

Part two: This second part will give you links to websites that I find useful. (I try to only use free websites, or ones that are partially free.

There will be/is a you tube channel that has videos showing you how to make activities to help.

NOTE:

I have taught everything from primary to adult (except French), so you will very likely find a bit of everything showing up here.

Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy it. If you have any ideas of what you would like to see, leave me a comment and I will try to help.

Disclaimer:

I live and teach in Ontario Canada, so some of my thoughts may not apply to your area - so if they don't please have patience with my vent.
